What are the entry and stay requirements to travel to Patagonia ?

Patagonia belongs to Chile and Argentina. Administrative formalities for French citizens in both countries:

  • original signed passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of arrival in the country
  • visa not required for stays of less than 3 months
  • for Chile, proof of exit from the territory is required.

What are the health requirements to travel to Patagonia ?

No vaccination is mandatory but some are recommended. Before leaving, make sure you are up to date with your vaccinations. Seek advice from your primary care physician.

Recommended vaccinations:

  • update of the diphtheria-tetanus-polio (DTP) vaccination
