I really enjoyed our safari experience with Ras in both Namibia and Botswana. Ras has a wealth of tracking experience and is obviously well connected with the safari-guide network in Botswana which was invaluable. I was particularly impressed with his approach to the safety and wellbeing of his guests and his conduct is exemplary at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend his services to any traveller of any previous safari experience.

My husband and I went on safari last September/October, with Ras as our ranger/guide/spotter/driver/barman. We found him courteous, well-versed, extremely conscientious and a pleasure to have around. He always made us feel safe and secure, which was really important given the fact we were mostly camping in exposed areas. In addition, he could turn his hand to so many different tasks: mending broken down vehicles or camp equipment, teaching us all there was to know about the floors and fauna, animal shooting, guiding us when on foot, chopping firewood, all performed with the loveliest sense of humor and good grace. I heartily recommend him. This man is a gem.

It was great to have this done under your experienced guidance. He is a very experienced guide, quiet and very thouroughful, who kept us in full trust. I could not but recommend you to anyone who might be interested in your service.

I am very happy to write a review for Ras. We traveled for just over three weeks with Merubisi Safaris in September and October last year. Ras was the guide on this trip particularly in the Botswana area but his knowledge of wildlife and safety in the bush was used throughout the trip. Ras has a huge knowledge of wildlife and could name a bird from incredible distances. Each day I kept a small diary and Ras was able to ensure I got it correct all the time. Ras was our full time guide while in Botswana and due to his knowledge and skills we got to see things we would have missed either on our own or with someone of less skill. A great example of this was when he could follow the warning cry of one animal to get us a sighting of a Leopard and while watching the leopard identify there were lions nearby with the Leopards kill. It was a highlight of the trip and totally due to Ras's skill. Ras was also very safety conscious we always felt that we were never too close to animals putting ourselves or the animals in danger. Equally around our campsites Ras took great care of us escorting us when necessary to ensure our safety. Ras was also very respectful with the other guides. He shared knowledge of sightings and equally received such information from the other guides this told me that he was respected by them and also ensured we had a very positive experience.

Ras was the sole guide for our family group of 4 in the Okavango Delta, 1 to 7 December, 2016. He was skillful in managing time so that we used our days fruitfully and on a perfect pace. Not rushed, not lagging. He was superbly knowledgeable about the large and small, habitat, ecology and he was ethical and conscientious of place. What was best was his ability to communicate knowledge, logistics, stories and plans to us in a way that involved us and drew us together. We were thrilled with his ability to lead us and he truly was our leader for that week. Thank you Ras, we will never forget you.

We had such a wonderful 3 days with you as our guide and advisor. It's been a memorable experience staying in such a beautiful setting. Chobe did not have the same appeal after Okavango. It was wonderful to cross paths with him and to have the support of such a wonderful guide who clearly values nature and the wildlife in it. This is sadly not the case in other game parks with ignorant drivers chasing animals around.
