Mehmet has been my guide for 4 trips to Turkey. Mehmet has exceptional knowledge of culture and history of Turkey and superb knowledge of Istanbul and nearby areas.

We used Mehmet as our guide for a week, while touring Turkey. His knowledge of the various sites we visited was outstanding. His English is excellent, and he is very accommodating. We visited Roman ruins along the coast that most tourists would never see. We bypassed lineups in popular sites such as Effisiis( sp) as Mehmet took us through entrances where only guides could go. It was an outstanding tour. I would highly recommend Mehmet for any tour of Turkey. He also accompanied us through the sites in Istanbul, which made the experience so much better.

My wife & I booked Mehmet for an 8-hour tour of Istanbul. He catered to our needs and ability very well. We enjoyed his company, demeanor, and ability to tell us about the sites that we saw in Istanbul. It was up to us to decide what we wanted to do, with Mehmet suggesting possible itineraries. I found it particularly comforting when going for lunch or going to the grand bazaar that Mehmet doesn't have an agenda; if he does have relations with the vendor, he'll tell you ahead of time, else he'll help you haggle (like he did for us at the grand bazaar) and reassure you that you have the freedom to walkaway. I would highly recommend a tour with Mehmet if that was an option for you.

My wife and I would like to add our praise of Mehmet Tetik to the mix. He was a terrific teacher and a fun traveling companion. We had a lovely day with him, getting to know a city he obviously loves.

I had the great pleasure of taking a half-day walking tour with Mehmet during a visit to Istanbul in May 2014. A friend of Danish/Turkish decent recommended him to our group and we were very impressed! We focused on the areas around the Blue Mosque as well as the grand palace. It was a lovely afternoon and I was very impressed with Mehmet’s warm personality, professionalism and knowledge. I thought that he did an excellent job in terms of providing the right level of history and background to our group based on interest. He was genuinely interested in us getting to see and learn from the experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Istanbul. This was one of the best-guided tours experiences that I have had anywhere in the world… in part because of the beauty of Istanbul but also in large part due to Mehmet’s guiding.
